Remembrance Day 2017

Staff and visitors paid their respect today in the atrium at Queens Hospital for Remembrance day.

The Chaplin read prayers as we remembered those who died, followed by the Two Minute Silence  observed on Armistice Day, the day which marked the end of the First World War.

Just before 11am Queen’s staff stood arround the entrance, along the balcony and the stairs while members of the Hospital Chaplaincy team lead a short service of remembrance.

As with every year, Bedrock volunteers Julian Clark and Annette Flewitt where on-hand providing a P.A system to ensure everyone could hear the service. Meanwhile on-air, we excused the 11am News bulletin for 2 minuets silence.
