Bedrock Volunteers came in around the clock for the annual Big Bedrock 24 Hour marathon broadcast, hosting an ongoing live show lasting for 24 hours to raise funds for our hospital radio service. The Marathon broadcast live from our in-house studio that has recently been modernised, with the latest broadcast software called Myriad and with new mixer desks securing an operating future of Bedrock at Queen’s Hospital.

The Big Bedrock 24 Hour Broadcast Marathon helped  raise awareness of our FREE radio service around the hospital and welcomes staff and patients to interact with their in-house hospital radio.

Donations are still coming in with an official total being announced soon, but it’s estimated to already be around £300

Bedrock’s Chairman, Mathew Watson has stated “This year’s Broadcast Marathon has been all about raising awareness and much needed funds for our hospital radio service, We are very grateful for the support we have received local companies & many members of the public.”
