The Havering Sports Council held it’s 56th AGM on Tuesday 23 February at the Havering Town Hall.

All officers serve a yearly term and all the officers were re elected again including the Chairman Derek Drew.

Peter Bruce, president of Havering Sports Council has also been re elected, the president can serve for three years.

Peter said: ” I don’t consider it to be the most important or even the most hard working like the chairman’s post, I get to do all the fun things like talk on the radio and give out trophies in the schools, I am really honored.”

Peter received a big round of applause for his appreciation as he has attended everyone of the Sports Councils 56 AGMs!

Peter will be entering into a term of 17 years worth of service as president of the Sports Council.

There was a great turn out at the event including a guest Sharon Phillips, Schools Games Organiser and Strategic Lead Of Havering Sports, gave an insight into her work.
