Mayor of Havering Cllr Linda Van Den Hende completed her Wing Walk on the 12 September.
The event took place at Damyns Aerodome, Upminster to raise money for the Mayors 3 chosen charities, Volunteers centre Havering, First step and Dementia Uk.
The charity fundraising event was due to take place on the 8th but due to bad weather had to be postponed.
Shelly Hart, Chief Executive of the Volunteer Centre attended the Wing Walk and said: “We feel very proud and honoured to have a such a strong advocate championing
our cause as well as for the other two mayor’s charities. The Mayor is trying to raise donations which will go to her Mayoral appeal. Undertaking
such a daredevil stunt to raise the profile of her charities is truly heart warming. I cannot thank her
enough for her sterling effort. On to the next
event who knows what that will be.”
