Havering Turns Purple.

A local campaign has started to turn the entire London Borough of Havering purple in memory of murdered teenager Jodie Chesney.

Havering Sixth Form College, Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, is planning a day to remember Jodie, with the college campus inviting everyone to wear something purple on Friday 8th March in solidarity and support of Jodie’s family, and all who have been affected by recent murders across Havering and London.

Jodie, 17 years old, was killed on 1st March by an attacker with a knife in Amy’s Park, Harold Hill. Tragically Jodie died at the scene. Police say a male has been arrested in connection with the murder and is being held at a London Police Station. Police are still appealing for any witnesses, Anyone with information should call the HMCC Incident Room on 020 8345 3775, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
