Railway Strikes – July 2022

National rail strikes are planned on Wednesday 27 July. 

A series of National railway strikes by the RMT Union, ASLEF Union are taking place over the next week;

Significant disruption is expected on all National Rail lines with services starting later and finishing much earlier than usual. As with previous industrial action, trains will generally operate between 7am and 7pm

Thursday 28th will also see train services start later, but will return to normal by midday.

Here’s how the strikes affect East London & South Essex:
TPH = Train Per Hour

First Trains will run from 07:30am
Last Trains from 5pm

  • 2 TPH – Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness via Basildon.
  • 2 TPH – Fenchurch Street to Pitsea via Rainham.
  • No Trains via Ockendon or Chafford Hundred.

Greater Anglia
First Trains will run from 7:30am
Last Trains from 5pm

  • 2 TPH – Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria (Not all trains will stop at Romford)
  • 1 TPH – Liverpool Street to Colchester (Essex Stopping Service).
  • 1 TPH – Liverpool Street to Norwich (Intercity Service).
  • 1 TPH – Liverpool Street to Cambridge.
  • 2 TPH – Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport.

TfL – London Overground
First Trains will run from 7:30am
Last Trains from 5:30pm

  • No Service  – Romford to Upminster.
  • No Service – Barking Riverside to Barking.
  • No Service – Stratford to Camden until 12:00pm.
  • All other Overground Lines will have severely reduced service.

TfL –  Elizabeth Line
First Trains will run from 7:30am
Last Trains from 5:30pm

  • 2 TPH – Liverpool Street to Shenfield.
  • Trains will Non-Stop:  Goodmayes, Forest Gate, Manor Park & Maryland Stations.
  • Limited service on Western Section from Paddington.
