It’s Okay To Talk – Romford #AndysManClub

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. With a mission to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.

A new Romford branch opens on December 2nd at Queen’s Hospital Romford.

Mat on Sunday Brunch (1/12/24) spoke with Chris a facilitator from AMC & Callum from BHR Hospitals about the new branch opening on Monday 2nd December at the hospital.  If you’re over 18 then come along to the free group sessions enjoy a chat and a cuppa.

There are over 230 free support groups nationwide, running every Monday from 7pm, except bank holidays (see our events guide for dates.)
In these groups, men can open up about things affecting their lives in a safe, judgement-free and non-clinical environment.

AMC clubs are designed to be free of pressure, there is no obligation for men to speak, they can simply listen if they wish.

Established in 2016 by Elaine, Andy’s Mum, and Luke, Andy’s Brother-in-Law, the aim of the club is to provide men with a safe space where they feel comfortable to talk and open up about their experiences in a room free of judgement.
