Asha, host of Bedrock Radio’s Saturday Jukebox (Saturdays 4 PM – 6 PM), recently dropped by Braintree Mencap—a cherished local charity dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities, as well as supporting their families and carers.

During her visit, Asha sat down with CEO Fiona Johnson to shine a spotlight on the incredible work happening right here in our community. In the interview, Fiona shares details about their exciting upcoming events, including their highly anticipated Food & Craft Fair this September, and talks about their wonderfully therapeutic animal-assisted activity sessions, where service users get hands-on, interactive fun with some lovely pets.

Fiona also revealed a huge milestone for the charity: receiving a special letter of recognition directly from HM King Charles III!
