The Ilford and West Essex Model Railway Club, located next to Chadwell Heath Railway Station
Holds a monthly Open Day at the club – Primarily for running the 7¼” Gauge Miniature Railway, often with steam trains! – Giving the public a chance to come down and see what the club is all about.
The open Day’s from Spring to Autumn on the first Sunday of the month
from 10:30am to 4pm
Admission to clubhouse – FREE
Train Rides – £1 per ride or £4 all day pass
Light refreshments available all day
The club promote and encourage the hobby of railway modelling – If you are a railway or transport enthusiast, young or old, expert or novice, you will find a warm welcome at the IWEMRC, which has been running since the 1930s
The only access to the site is via two flights of steps down from street level.
