Railway Strikes – 8th April 2024

More rail strikes this spring.

A series of strikes by the ASLEF Union are due to take place between April and May

Significant disruption is expected on local National Rail services.

Bedrock Radio are compiling information for services across East London & South Essex, to help you if you need to travel for an appointment or if you’re staff trying to get to work.

Here’s how the strikes affect East London & South Essex:
TPH = Train Per Hour

Strike Days: Monday 8th April

Sunday 7th: Normal Train Service (Planned Engineering works maybe taking place) 
Monday 8th : No Train Service Will Operate
Tuesday 9th : Some early morning serviecs will be affected – Delayed or cancelled.


Greater Anglia

Strike Days: Thursday 18th August
An overtime ban may also see some trains over the weekend cancelled.

Monday 8th: Reduced Service 

Hour services will operate between:

  • Liverpook Street and Norwick via Colchester
  • Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria
  • Liverpool Street to Standstead Airport.

Bi-Hourly service

  • Liverpool Street and Cambridge

No services on branchlines.

Tuesday 9th : Some early morning serviecs will be affected – Delayed or cancelled.

 


Transport For London sevices (Underground, Overground, Elizabeth Line, DLR & Buses) will operate as normal.

But some services maybe buiser as a result of the National Rail Strikes.
