It is a well known fact that stroking cats and dogs can be therapeutic.  Julie who is a volunteer from Pets As Therapy  joined me in the studio to tell me more.

This is not a new concept, the charity has been operating since 1983.  Infact if you look on the hospitals twitter page you can see some of the great work Jack has been doing.

Jack is a regular on some of the wards and he is just one of registered dogs already on the scheme.   This is something that the trust is very proud of and hopes to seem more join in following their registration and selecting process.   The charity is looking for more pet volunteers.  To find out more listen to the podcast.
