imageThe Director of The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, Douglas Rintoul will be running in two marathons to fundraise on behalf of the theatre.

On Sunday 20th March he will be running in the Brentwood Half Marathon followed by the Brighton Marathon on 17th April.

Mr Rintoul said: “The Queen’s Theatre has recently faced significant cuts from local government so any donations received will be vital in continuing this crucial work.  I hope as many people as possible will support our wonderful local theatre.”

Mr Rintoul only joined the theatre in October 2015, since he joined there have been some fantastic new productions including Kiss Me Kate and currently showing Much Ado About Nothing.

He is fundraising to raise funds for the Theatre’s Learning and Participation Project which aims to help schools and community groups and individuals get into drama learn new skills and make new friends.

The Queen’s Theatre is a registered charity and does receive some funding but also relies on donations and fundraising is vital to be able to continue.
