The windmill is an iconic listed building situated in the heart of Upminster.  It was built by James Noakes in 1803.

The windmill has been closed for some vital renovations and is expected to be open in 2018.  There is a brand new visitor centre that will be opened next year displaying a variety of information about the history.

I had an interview with Gemma Robbins Flowerdew,  the projects manager for the windmill to find out what the renovations involve and what we can expect once the windmill is up and running again.
