More rail strikes this spring.
A series of strikes and action short of a strike (overtime bans) by the ASLEF Union are due to take place between April and May
Significant disruption is expected on local National Rail services.
Bedrock Radio are compiling information for services across East London & South Essex, to help you if you need to travel for an appointment or if you are hospital staff trying to get to work.

Here’s how the strikes affect East London & South Essex:

Strike Days: Tuesday 7th April
Monday 6th:Bank Holiday Service with Planned Engineering works between Pitsea & Grays.
Tuesday 7th : No Train Service Will Operate
Wednesday 8th : A reduced service, expected some early morning services to be delayed or cancelled. – In Addition, on Wednesday & Thursday there are planned engineering works late evening from 23:30.
Greater Anglia
Strike Days: Tuesday 7th April
Monday 6th: Bank Holiday Service – Planned Engineering on Cambridge Lines.
Tuesday 7th August: Reduced Service & No Service
Reduced services will run on the following routes only
(Service likely to be hourly)
- Liverpool Street and Norwich via Colchester
- Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria
- Liverpool Street to Stanstead Airport.
- Liverpool Street and Cambridge
No other services such as branch lines will operate.
Wednesday 8th : Most early morning services will start from 0700 AM, Fast services will start later, with Stansted Expressing running 2 or 3 TPH
Transport For London services
(Underground, Overground, Elizabeth Line, DLR & Buses) will operate as normal.
But some services maybe busier as a result of the National Rail Strikes.
