The foyers of Queen’s Hospital, Romford, and King George Hospital, Ilford are often very busy with
patients, visitors and staff. but today, as like every year. at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marked the end of the First World War.
Just before 11am, At both King George crowds gathered in the foyer, while at Queen’s staff stood arround the entrance, along the balcony and the stairs while members of the Hospital Chaplaincy team lead a short service of remembrance.
As with every year, Bedrock where on-hand providing a P.A system to ensure everyone could hear the service. Meanwhile on-air, we excused the 11am News bulletin for 2 minuets silence.
