Parking charges at Queen’s Hospital in Romford and King George Hospital in Ilford will increase from 21 September 2026.
A new free 30-minute parking period will also be introduced for people making short visits. Charges for longer stays will rise by up to £3, while the 12-hour-plus rate will remain fixed at £18.
King George Hospital in Ilford has set a new record after completing 20 operations across three theatres in one day. The high-volume programme is targeting patients who have faced waits of up to 40 weeks for general surgery. A total of 33 patients were treated across two weekend sessions in July and August.
