MARATHON BROADCAST TO RAISE FUNDS FOR BEDROCK HOSPITAL RADIO

Volunteers of Bedrock Radio to host a 25-hour Programme in aid of the station.

 

Bedrock Radio, the Community Health & Hospital Radio service broadcasting to patients Queen’s Hospital (Romford), King George & Goodmayes Hospitals (Ilford), plus the local community online will be raising funds by hosting a 25-hour live programme.

The Big Bedrock Broadcast Marathon will be opened with an interview with the Mayor of Havering on Saturday 26th October at 1pm, and run through to 1pm on Sunday 27th October. During the Broadcast we enter Daylight Savings Time (GMT) around 2am, which makes the marathon 25 hours!

Volunteers of Bedrock Radio will be coming into our studios around the clock to host the Big Bedrock Broadcast Marathon.

Barry Felton, Trustee Programme Controller said “This is a fun event for our volunteers and the public to get involved with Bedrock. The money raised goes directly into running our charity keeping us on-air”

Fellow Trustee Mathew Watson, Station Manager added, “We are very grateful for all the donations we receive, and to our volunteers who give their time generously to entertaining patients in our local hospitals & providing information to our local community online.
