Bedrock Radio’s Asha visited The Institute in Braintree – a hidden gem and the town’s only dedicated theatre. She interviewed directors Lewis Codling and Jim Hollands about its inclusive community focus, exciting future plans, and the need for local support to sustain the historic listed building.

Bedrock Radio is proud to announce that we have started broadcasting on DAB+ Digital Radio across North East London and South West Essex. This expansion brings our volunteer-driven radio station to thousands of DAB+ radios locally. We are excited to take our health themed radio service onto DAB+ Digital Radio and be the “The Heartbeat of North East London and South West Essex” with a playlist that we call Your Healthy Music Mix! – continuing our roots of being a radio station run by local volunteers, for local people.
Former colleagues of Dr Abdul-Razaq Abdullah were joined at Rainham Health Centre on 4 Dec and by MP Margaret Mullane, local NHS representatives and members of the practice’s Patient Participation Group as a plaque was unveiled in memory of Rainham GP known as ‘gentle giant’ Dr Abdul-Razaq Abdullah.
